The John Deere Z-Trak™ Series have the ability to move around tight obstacles, whilst still maintaining the functionality of a heavy duty rotary mower. Fully enclosed engine compartment reduces overall engine noise. The enclosure can be removed quickly, allowing full access to engine and transmission components for easy service.
Intended for customers with large areas to mow and hills to climb, the 1600 Series II Turbo Wide-Area Mower features a 42.7 kW (57.3 hp), turbocharged, overhead-valve, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled Yanmar diesel engine with on-demand or full-time mechanical rear wheel drive. Mow up to 68 acres in an 8-hour day with a nearly 3.4 metre cutting width.

The 1400 Series II Front Mowers feature powerful Yanmar engines with optional on-demand or full-time mechanical rear wheel drive. 60 in. and 72 in. 7 Iron-II side-discharge or 62 in. and 72 in. FASTBACK™ rear-discharge mower decks are available.
With a larger engine option, more deck sizes and options than its sister front mower, the 1400 Series, the 1565 is ideal for the large-area commercial/institutional, golf and turf markets where good traction, mowing performance, safety, and uptime are critical.
